Realities 1989 a collection of compelling vegetarian facts and statistics. This is the only HTML version I'm aware of; I created it from an ASCII version I found. Vegan Awakening is a book planned for 1996 to publish such statistics.

North American Vegetarian Society (NAVS) This is a good organization for its many information resources. They publish the Vegetarian Voice magazine with recipes, nutrition articles, and fast food campaigns, and host the annual Vegetarian Summerfest - a fun event! (NAVS can be reached via email.)

Vegetarian Society of Honolulu
Animal Rights Resource Site Comprehensive with lots of animal rights as well as vegetarian links, including a "wrappers" page of links of relevant subjects, reference materials, and organizational homepages they host.

Feminists for Animal Rights
Physician's Committee for Responsible Medicine a great resource for understanding the compelling evidence that a balanced vegan diet is necessary for optimal health. A collection of some of their papers is also available on the web, such as the essay What's Wrong with Dairy Products?. I believe you can also send them email.

As a cook who often uses tofu, I really enjoyed seeing in the November 1996 issue of Vegetarian Times (page 16) a tofu squeezing utensil by a small husband-and-wife company, Unique Utensils in Colorado (303-797-6724).
Cruelty Free Value Fund I like to invest directly in stocks because I want to control where my money is going and I don't want to support animal exploitation. Now, in early June 1997, I have found out about this new mutual fund which is meant as a long-term investment vehicle which will only invest in stocks of companies that are "cruelty free". Yippee!
I discovered in July 1995 that my favorite food company, Whole Foods, parent of stores I've enjoyed such as Bread and Circus and Wellspring, is on the web!
